Datifex's DATIVerse 3D™ immersive 3D situational awareness technology for defence, maritime and infrastructure has qualified for Innovative Solutions Canada's (ISC) Pathway to Commercialization (PTC) list, which allows Government of Canada departments and agencies a streamlined pathway to commercially procure proven technology. It joins DigitalTWIN 3D™, Datifex's first ISC innovation, on the list.
Administered by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), ISC enables Canadian small and medium-sized businesses to develop, test, and commercialize new technologies by connecting them with federal departments and agencies. This includes available funding to test late-stage innovations, with successfully tested, market-ready projects eligible for the PTC.
DATIVerse 3D’s admission onto the PTC follows a successful $1.6 million, one-year ISC-funded test with Transport Canada (TC) and the Halifax Port Authority (HPA). The operational test validated DATIVerse 3D for maritime and defence situational awareness and led to OneHarbour™, Datifex’s maritime management and defence solution now used in HPA’s Operations Centre.
“Buying Canadian means investing in innovative technologies that provide tailored solutions to practical problems. Through Innovative Solutions Canada, the government is supporting small-and-medium enterprises by providing them a structured path to scale technologies and keep Canada sovereign.” - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions
“ISED’s Innovative Solutions Canada program, and its predecessor, the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP), have provided Datifex with more than $10 million in testing support and contracts and helped secure our place in the 2026 NATO DIANA cohort. We’re grateful to Canada for backing us and other Canadian companies through these innovation programs.” - Chris Erickson, Datifex, founder and CEO

Datifex’s solutions are also eligible for direct-buy procurement by 32 NATO allied nations through the Rapid Adoption Service for members of the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA). Datifex was selected for DIANA’s 2026 cohort as one of 150 innovators from approximately 3,600 applicants worldwide. DIANA accelerates emerging sovereign dual-use defence technologies.
Datifex was assigned to the Tehnopol accelerator in Tallinn, Estonia, where Datifex spent six weeks working across the European Union.
“At NATO DIANA, we believe that creating clearer pathways for promising technologies to move toward procurement and operational use is essential to accelerating innovation. The addition of Datifex to the Innovative Solutions Canada’s Pathway to Commercialization list closely aligns with what DIANA is working to achieve across the Alliance. Datifex's technology continues to yield positive results in the Canadian civil and defence space and we look forward to what they accomplish in the future.” - Christine Hanson, Regional Director North America, NATO DIANA
